This workshop is framed in the PEGASuS / NCEAS / Future Earth project aimed to map the current spatial extent of observations for biological EOVs. In this second workshop, information compiled on networks associated to biological Essential Ocean Variables will be analyzed to map the extent of these observations in the global ocean, including their spatial and temporal scales and gaps. The workshop will also plan the Implementation of the roadmap goals, actions and products developed during the first workshop aimed to support monitoring progress against the Convention on Biological Diversity 2050 Vision, Agenda 2030 and other critical international agreements as well as the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainability.
